Project Info
Hanga Tō Ara was made to encourage Rangatahi to explore their personal Pepeha through a digital journey. This journey visualises their connections to their ancestral lands, forming unique Pepeha trails. These trails are then projected onto a shared map, combining individual journeys into a collective history of Māori migration and relationships. The goal is to foster a deeper sense of community and cultural identity among urban Māori, bridging the gap between their urban upbringing and ancestral roots.
